F-TROUPE SHOP NOW OPEN

F-troupe's first shop opened on Saturday 7th August and is located at 33, Marshall Street, London, W1F 7ET. The store will showcase the full collection of mens and womens shoes and boots as well as a selection of complimentary and exclusive items of clothing and accessories. Each of F-Troupes shoes is emblazoned with the tag line Wonderful shoes in all principal cities with existing stockists including Browns Focus in London, Opening Ceremony in New York and Journal Standard in Tokyo. Now with the London store, the full story of F-Troupe can be told. Fans of F-Troupe would have already noticed the quintessentially English and Victoriana references that influence both the collection and related material. A specially commissioned illustration for AW10 tells the fictitious story of Professor Winston Hoyle, presenting Beauty & the Beasts, the world famous Amazonian lion tamers. The tongue-in-cheek vignette successfully depicts Mademoiselle F.Troupe and her dancing lion, her red patent dancing shoes and Fire-proof boots! The atmosphere is suitably Turn of the Century, humorous but with a slightly sinister undertone. So too the F-Troupe store is part Dickensian Curiosity shop with an eclectic mix of Victorian bric-a-brac dotted throughout the store. The window features large Victorian Carboys filled with coloured water to entice the customer. Greeting you in-store are oddities such as taxidermy animals and rare original imagery of circus sideshow acts including a bearded woman. All elements of the shop, from the hand blown glass lampshades through to the antique Chateau stain glass windows have been meticulously sourced to reflect the image of the label. The store will launch with the F-Troupe AW10 collection. Highlights of which include the patent 4-bow boot and F-Troupe perennials such as the sheepskin-lined, walking boot. Exclusive to the store and new to F-Troupe is a Made in England capsule collection of brogue shoes for men and women, designed by the in-house team and hand-made in Northampton. F-Troupe will also continue collaborating with designers and other creatives, including an ongoing relationship with womenswear designer Jessica Ogden. F-Troupe has a philosophy of producing well-designed shoes at an affordable price, always unique and never a slave to trends. Likewise the store offers an alternative to the blandness of the high street. The F-Troupe store is there to be stumbled upon, a rare discovery that will continue to delight time and again.
